About the Profession
Chiropractic began in 1895 in Davenport, Iowa with the work
of Dr. D.D. Palmer. Two years later the first school was opened. In the past 100
years, chiropractic has become the number one non-medical health care choice in
America. Doctors study for four years prior to Chiropractic College and then enroll
in the intensive five year program to receive a Doctor of Chiropractic degree. Chiropractors
are recognized and licensed in all 50 states and most foreign countries. Since its
induction, millions of people have found relief of their ailments through the natural
healing of chiropractic.
